Share. Support
Need help with Share? Email shareappsupport@gmail.com. Tell us what happened and your phone model. Please keep passwords, verification codes, and your private text-saving link out of your message.
Sharing and your Library
Tap the center + button to share a song, album, podcast, or video. Choose everyone, a person, or a Room. Save recommendations to your Library and organize them into folders. Written feedback on a feed share is private to its poster in Messages.
Choose your players
Open You → Settings to choose your music and podcast apps. Share opens an exact match where available; music and Spotify podcasts can use your selected app’s search when a match is unavailable. Other podcast misses offer the show or original service. Playback can depend on your provider, subscription, and region. YouTube, Rumble, and Bandcamp use their player controls inside Share.
Save links from texts
Open Library and tap “Friends text you links to songs, videos, or podcasts?” The same setup is in Settings → Save links from texts.
- On iPhone, follow the pictures to add Save to Share in Apple Shortcuts, configure the incoming-message automation, and text the provided test link to yourself. Return to Share when the guide says to, then check Library after success.
- On Android, follow the in-app guide to allow notification access for text capture. This is separate from permission for Share’s push notifications. If the toggle is greyed out or says “App was denied access”, open your phone’s Settings → Apps → Share → ⋮ → Allow restricted settings, and confirm with your phone’s PIN or biometrics if asked. Return to Share’s setup, open notification access, then allow it for Share. Google’s instructions explain this protection for downloaded apps. If the menu is missing or access is still blocked, save links using your messaging app’s Share button instead.
- Settings → Save from texts help & start over includes troubleshooting and the optional setup video. Contacts permission lets your phone show familiar names instead of numbers; it is optional.
Notifications and reminders
Manage these in Settings and your phone’s notification settings. Activity’s Clear button clears its list for you; it does not delete your messages or saved recommendations.
Fingerprint or Face ID sign-in
Android chooses the available fingerprint or secure face unlock; fingerprint does not require face unlock. If quick sign-in stops working, sign in with your password, then turn quick sign-in off and on again in Settings → Security. Changing biometrics or reinstalling can make the saved login unavailable. Share does not receive fingerprint or face data.
Safety and account deletion
Use Report and Block on posts, profiles, or messages if needed. We review reports within 24 hours. Delete your account in You → Settings → Delete account. If you cannot open Share, email support from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my Share account” and your username.
